NCTV News
We've Moved!
NCTV has now moved into our new location on the ground floor of Newington Town Hall, 131 Cedar Street, Newington, CT.
This means that some of our contact information has changed:
By mail:
Newington Community Television
131 Cedar Street
Newington, CT, 06111
Please note that some of our forms are still the old versions, so if you're sending in a form by mail, please make sure to use the new address (although first class mail will get forwarded until about September 2010). We're still working on the new letterhead, which will also include our redesigned logo.
By phone:
(860)667-5814 (unchanged, but we got a new voicemail system)
By fax:
(860)667-5819 (unchanged)
In person:
Go to the lower-level parking lot of Newington Town Hall (near the police station). Go in the "Government" entrance. When you're in the lower-level lobby, there will be a stairway in front of you, a stairway to your left, an elevator behind you to the left, and a set of double (or one-and-a-half) doors to your right (where the old police station used to be). Go through the dooway to your right. Go up the little ramp to doorway L102. That's us! The town is still working on getting up some better signage.
In person (dropping off small things, like flyers and DVDs):
In the lower-level lobby (see above), there's a set of mailboxes for various media outlets. You can drop stuff off in our mailbox there. However, if you're returning equipment, or dropping off anything large, fragile, expensive, etc., please make an appointment to have someone receive it in person.
Driving directions:
The Town Hall address is 131 Cedar Street. Unfortunately, if you follow directions from GPS, Google Maps, etc. they won't get you here, because the Town Hall doesn't have any driveways onto Cedar Street (especially now that Mill St. is closed off). The driveway is on Garfield Street, so tell your GPS/Google/iPhone/etc. that you're going to 100 Garfield St., Newington, and that should get you pretty close.
From Willard Avenue: Turn East onto Garfield St. Pass the yellow schoolbusses on your left, and the waterfall on your right. The parking lot will be on your left, before the building. Please make sure not to park in the "Police Parking Only" section.
From Main Street: Turn West onto Garfield St. After about two tenths of a mile, you'll come to the park on your left, and pass the library and upper parking lot on your right. The lower parking lot will be just past Town Hall on your right. Please make sure not to park in the "Police Parking Only" section.
Closest bike racks:
There are a couple of inverted-U racks near the Teen Center entrance. There's also a grid-style rack at the library, which is a little further away, but has higher capacity, and generally better visibility and foot traffic.

Talk to the Mayor- LIVE
The LIVE Talk to the Mayor show with Mayor Jeff Wright is the first Monday of each month. The next show will be on Monday, March 1st, 2010 at 8:00 PM. If you will not be able to see the show and have a question for the mayor you can send your questions to talktothemayor@nctv.org. We check it LIVE during the show so you can send your questions in rather than calling, but we do prefer you call in and Talk to the Mayor.

Would you like your event posted on the NCTV Scroller?
Many Newington organizations may not realize that they can reach most Newington Residents by posting events on the NCTV Scroller. Do you know how to put things up on the scroller? It's simple. Fill out a form, email it, fax it in, or drop it off, and - "bam" - your event will be posted. Easy, huh? Well, what are you waiting for?! Click here for the scroller request form. Submissions without a form will be discarded.
Watch On the Road with Rod now!
Due to all of the discussion around Newington's new automated trash pickup system, we have posted a recent On the Road with Rod show on this topic on our website. You must have
Windows Media Player v9 or later. The show is posted
here.
NCTV Monthly Meeting
NCTV's monthly meeting is held at the NCTV's new facility on the ground floor of Newington Town Hall, 131 Cedar Street, on the last Thursday of the month (except Holidays). The next meeting is Thursday, February 25th, 2010 at 7:30 PM.
The meeting is a great time to meet the volunteers, check out the facilities, and talk about projects you'd like to work on.
The meeting usually lasts about an hour. We have some very interesting projects in the works so come to the meeting to find out more!
Office Hours
These are our office hours, effective January 28, 2009:
Thursdays, 7:00 - 9:00 PM.

Or, by appointment. We can be pretty flexible, so if there's a specific time that works for you, don't be afraid to ask.
Please call 860-667-5814 or email nctv@nctv.org to schedule a time.
